GUESS WHO’S BACK

After taking time to explore business education, G Boundless is back to making music! The long layoffs in between projects, and also not performing since before Co-vid has created an urge to jump back in the Hip Hop/Rap scene. The love for music has always been in the artist’s heart but now it’s just time to return and create music the whole world can vibe to.

The revolutionary rapper recently released an album titled “Boundless V – I Am General Boundless” in early 2024. This release is by far the most passion infused piece of art since the early 2000’s. The single being promoted off of the album is “Dey Still Mad”, where he tears into the haters that have plotted to stop his divine purpose, and crush his mic. There are still a lot of different songs that step outside the box of the norm for the artist on this project.

G Boundless, whose name is Angelo Taylor was born in Middletown, Ohio. His style was influenced by many of the 1980’s hip hop artists such as N.W.A., LL Cool J, Eric B and Rahkim, and more inspiration spawned from the funk genre by artists such as Roger Trotman and Zapp, Steve Arrington and Slave, Bootsie Collins and Parliament, and many many more!

G Boundless left Ohio in 2005 and took his talents to Atlanta, Georgia. This event of culture shock put another ingredient into the sauce of what he has been cooking up! The first release in upon arriving in Georgia was titled “The Coach”. It was released on iTunes/Apple Music. Check out the song “The Nasty”, featuring Bob Ray, and go get this album!

G Boundless continued to put out project after project starting with the Boundless series. The Boundless series started with Boundless I – The Limelight. G Boundless really took out his revolutionary frustrations out on this project, while also dropping a gem for the ladies titled “Pretty Lady”.

The entertainment industry can often leave a sour taste in your mouth from the amount of deceit, trickery involved in contracts and the amount of competition that comes along with performing  your best for the crowd. A lot of artists don’t realize that there is enough room for everybody to eat. It is a MUST for artists to learn the business side and how to protect their intellectual property & digital assets. An e-book is on the way to show artists the way. If I knew then, what I know now, I wouldn’t have released ANY music until all of my ducks were in a row. Stay tuned for the blogpost introducing “Be The Best – A Guide For The Independent Artist” coming very soon.

The second release in the Boundless series titled “Boundless II – Dead Head Generation” picked right up where the first project let off. Picking up the pace with songs like “Reloaded”, and “How You Made Me” kept this revolutionary work in rotation by many! It was released in 2016 and continues to bang on as classic timeless music!

There was a deep dive into some very interesting information that changed the artist known as G Boundless. This info influenced the third release from the Boundless series “Boundless III – The Code”. It was a strange time in the artist’s life but somehow, he managed to put together this album. The energy of this project just hit different, but the talent is still unmatched.

The year 2020 brought the world an unexpected event of epic uprooting of our realities. The world was forever changed by the Co-vid 19 shutdown. It was an eye opening time where we realized that our lives could change in the blink of an eye! During this time G Boundless had moved back to Georgia and was frustrated with the control that was being displayed by different corporations involving how they chose to handle  the pandemic. Regardless, the revolutionary artist continued on bangin on the beast with the release of the fourth album in the Boundless series titled “Boundless IV -R.O.M.E. (Reflections Of My Environment)”
As you can see from the cover art, there is very deep symbolism used here and all clues, and roads lead to Rome. This album features dope songs like “Dey Mad”, and “Un Conquista”.

When we think about the longevity of a rapper’s career, most rappers stop creating as artists in their late 30’s or early 40’s. For some reason there is a stigma that hip-hop artists shouldn’t be creating music into their middle aged years. Imagine if all the other genres in music felt this way too! The world would’ve missed out on a lot of great music from their favorite musicians. Regardless of those limitations G Boundless released another album titled “Boundless V – I Am General Boundless”

This is the fifth album from the Boundless series that was released in 2024. This joint is filled with the passionate fire of the projects of the past but with full momentum of knowledge of self, and direction of a General in a war for freedom. Songs like Dey Still Mad”, and “Energy”, bring that upbeat shot of adrenaline, and songs like “Blue Light Streets, and The Angel’s Fall, shows the complete range of creativity and delivery that could easily cross over to other genres with a powerful impact!
